Commodity Buyer We are recruiting for a Commodity Buyer on a permanent basis for our Banbury based client. Your role will be to fully support the division in its purchasing activities, meeting company goals for cost, quality, innovation, and delivery. As a Commodity Buyer you will need to have/be: Evidence of engineering aptitude an advantage Good commercial awareness and analytical approach Experience of working in busy manufacturing purchasing environment preferred Assertiveness in face to face and telephone transactions Confident negotiating style Attention to detail Tenacious Negotiation Skills Self-motivated and proactive Approach Analytic Skills, Data Management, Logic Driven Strategic Awareness of Market place, networking Problem Solver, People Person, Supporting Others Confident and able to summarise problems and solutions to managementDetails: Salary: GBP43, 000 - GBP45, 000 Working Hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours Location: Banbury (onsite) Duration: PermanentRole of Commodity Buyer: Receive, register, challenge & process purchase requisitions in order to achieve best conditions for the business and conforming with appropriate operating procedures. Where necessary support internal customers in obtaining specific or urgent requirements. Secure early involvement in development of capital purchases through negotiation and benchmarking of supplier proposals or quotations. Support the Assistant Purchasing Manager in the preparation and distribution of reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Manage a monthly MRO review. Establish and maintain a process for managing, negotiating, and renewing significant service contracts and rental or lease agreements. Strive to achieve specific objectives as agreed with Purchasing Manager designed to support the delivery of business plan and the Commodity Buyers personal development goals.
