Defence Equipment
The Workshop Competence Assessor (North) role is based within our Defence Equipment business area.
Defence equipment stores, maintains, repairs and overhauls military vehicles and equipment so the UK army is able to train and deploy in a moment. As well as supporting vehicles that are already in service, the team carries out vehicle assembly integration and tests new vehicles.

As a Workshop Competence Assessor (North), you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. To assure the safety and best working practice of our industrial employees.
Day to day, you'll own & implement the petence assessment process across all DSG locations, with an ability to review for any opportunity to implement continual improvement. You will also manage and report on assessment requirements, deliveries, and trends to enable intelligent forecasting and programming of demand. Also own and manage the workshop equipment demand to ensure pliance & demand satisfaction, and that held data is co-ordinated through use of all available resources. Lastly support, train, and guide personnel to develop their skills and knowledge in instances where there are proven unsatisfactory assessments.

Essential experience
Qualified to RQF L3 in an engineering specialisation (NVQ L3, C&G etc.) or equivalent demonstratable experience
Sufficient experience in Manufacturing Engineering
Assessor qualification desirable however training can be provided by Babcock
Proficient in Microsoft packages
munication Skills - Written and oral
Driving license essential
Must be able to obtain SC level security clearance.What we offer
