Vintage Celestion Ditton 44 Speakers. Refurbished and Re-capped

Old school classic speakers from the 1970s, refurbished with re-capped crossovers, re-wired and with new 4mm speaker terminals. I also have a standard pair of 44s for sale for £200 (1 water damaged cabinet).
Ditton 44s are a big 3 way, sealed box design with a hefty cast chassis 12 inch driver, 5 inch midrange and HF2000 Tweeters. There is loads of information and opinions online about the 44.
The crossover capacitors were all out of spec when I bought them, so the capacitors have replaced with a blend of Alcap electrolytic capacitors and polypropylene film capacitors. I have tried many different capacitors, and this gives the best sound of the lot.
Some Ditton 44s were fitted with higher quality Ditton 66 crossovers with all air core inductors (most Ditton 44s had 2 lower quality iron core inductors), and this is such a pair.
The internal wiring has been upgraded from the standard bell wire to QED copper wire, and the terminals have been upgraded to 5 war binding posts that accept 4mm plugs.
The tops have been lightly sanded and the cabinets have been given a coat of hard wax oil.
Ditton 44s hit hard in the bass and excel at rock music. They have gained much better clarity and detail over a standard set and are now easily the best pair of 44s I have heard. I have a standard pair pare them against.
