Vehicle Damage Assessor - South Yorkshire

As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for providing a physical inspection of vehicles. The information gathered is reported through an electronic form (DTLE) which is reviewed by the Vehicle Image Engineers to provide the customer with a fully detailed vehicle appraisal report.
As part of this Vehicle Damage Assessor role, you will have the opportunity to undertake additional career development and obtain a recognised motor engineering qualification (ATA VDA).
What you will be doing...
To ensure physical vehicle examinations and inspections (DTLE's) are carried out in accordance with Copart's standardsTo investigate and provide important information to Copart's Engineering TeamsLiaise with panies and process requests regarding additional vehicle informationOperate a handheld device to document vehicle information and imageryMaintain excellent service levelsCommunicate and collaborate information with colleagues within the operating centres and Head OfficeFollow Health & Safety and Company guidelines, to maintain a safe and efficient working environmentTo report to the Engineering Service Manager any issues preventing the pletion of duties
What we need from you...
Experience of motor vehicles, familiarity with all types of damage and repair methodsKnowledge of basic legal vehicle roadworthiness requirements under Road Traffic Act are required for this Vehicle Damage Assessor roleAble to interpret degrees of damage and possible consequencesStrong Microsoft Office skillsExcellent written and munication skillsWhat we offer you in return…
