For sale is my 2006 Vauxhall Vivaro Crew Cab. I purchased the van from an engineering firm which sadly collapsed during the 2020 pandemic. The van had been stationary for around 6 months before a sale was agreed. Since owning the van, I have spent around £2000 on improvements.
The injectors on a Vauxhall Vivaro have always been a problem since manufacture in 2005. Anyone who has owned a Vivaro will know that over time water ingress corrodes the tops of the injectors and replacement of all 4 are needed if only 1 fails.
I have replaced all x4 injectors, along with a new starter motor, x2 full services, x2 front bearings, x2 drop links and x2 front axle ball joints.
I have also replaced x4 new tyres, bodywork replenish and an overall clean. This van was very much in need of some TLC and over my ownership I have spent many weekends in the garage improving this van.
The van e with a full valid MOT until October 2023, the service history is only part, but I have serviced this vehicle twice during my ownership, these being full major services. (Air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, cabin filter, oil filter and oil fully synthetic).
It is an old van, it is 15 years old, not new by any standard, but it is a good van for someone who needs a reliable, multifunctional vehicle at a reasonable price. Most vans on the market today are sky high. It has 6 seats including the driver, and a generous loading space to the rear. I currently pay £200 a year van insurance from direct line and £135 road tax for the year. I have friends who own transits, minibuses and both the road tax and insurance for this Vivaro crew cab are considerably lower.
You can remove the rear seats and utilise this vehicle as a full van for a fraction of the tax and insurance costs.
Only reason for selling, is a new vehicle, I currently need a 4x4. I am in no rush to sell this van as its always handy to have around, moving stuff etc. If it doesn’t sell, I will undoubtedly keep it, but thought I would see if anyone is interested first.
