Purpose of the role:
To support the Investments Legal team within M&G providing legal advice and support to Product and Investment Teams regarding trading documentation and counterparty and negotiating trading documentation for new funds/mandates.
As a TradingLawyer, you will be responsible for:
Providing pragmatic and commercial legal advice as part of the development of trading strategies for fund/product.Structuring, drafting and negotiating derivatives trading documentation (ISDAs, GMRAs, Stock Lending Agreements, Master Netting Agreements, Collateral Agreements and CDEAs) and related documentation, regulatory work and supporting the company's strategic and regulatory change projects. What we require from the candidate:
Experience drafting and negotiating derivatives and trading documentation in a buy-side role.Up to date on relevant regulatory framework including EMIR, MiFID II, MiFIR.Good understanding of fund structures and fund documentation across a range of asset classes including in relation to private/real assets.General asset management knowledge and familiarity with the relevant regulatory framework applicable to asset managers (including AIFMD, UCITS).Qualified lawyer (there is no requirement that the candidate must be English qualified) ideally 4+ pqe with in house asset management experience.
