Wage: Up to £16.96 gross per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Essential: Complex Medical Needs, including PEG feeding, suctioning, epilepsy, and use of hoists. This role is for *female only applicants.

Days & Hours: We can offer both full-time (36 hours) and part-time permanent contracts.

About this client/child:
Phoebe (17) is a lovely young lady who loves everything pink and glittery and Mr Tumbles! Phoebe lives in a fully adapted house with her parents, young siblings, and two very loving dogs (Labrador and Labradoodle). Phoebe has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and is non-verbal, and has a visual impairment. All her medication and fluids are administered via PEG, she is oxygen dependent overnight and requires occasional suctioning. Phoebe has a high level of complex care needs; therefore, we do require a Support Worker with previous experience in a similar role; person centre training will be provided for any team member joining.
Overview of role
Your role will be to provide holistic support to Phoebe. We require a patient and friendly support worker who can provide support to Phoebe in all aspects of her health, care, and medical needs. The Support Worker will be confident providing personal care, administering medication, and PEG feeds, continually monitoring Pheobe, and completing manual handling. You will follow therapy programmes (after training) which are regularly updated by Phoebe’s treating therapists. As Pheobe’s Support Worker you will of course plan fun, stimulating and sensory activities. There is opportunity to travel with the family on their summer holidays - valid Passport, please!
Shift pattern: Nights: 18.45 – 7.00am | Weekdays: 06.45am – 10.30am 14.30 – 7.00pm | Weekends and School Holidays: 06.45am – 7.00pm. The rota is completed 4 weeks in advance and will involve working a mixture of long days, mornings, afternoons, and nights. The family and team can be very flexible for the right person – part-time and full-time contracts available.
