We're running our Spring season Thursday 6pm fortnightly acoustic alternative, indie, improvisational jam sessions again! *STARTS Thursday 30th March 2023*
This time, we are welcoming acoustic musicians, neo folk, progressive and alternative indie slanting musicians interested in growing something small and intimate for the evening together in our acoustic lounge. Over the past year we have run a variety of diverse music sessions ranging from classical, folk, alternative, world music, progressive and post-punk. This year we have started to release our own recordings on The Film Atelier Recordings on Spotify, iTunes and bandcamp independently under the moniker of The Roof Rippers exploring the various created music evening nights with many diverse friends who grace our acoustic lounge.
Typically we meet and warm up and work towards improvisational material. We do not do covers so please do not attend expecting to repeat formulaic commercial radio music. We are more into creating and working together to discover one another's styles and grow something new. Guitarists are abundant and a few attend; we have room for instrumentalists and vocalists. There is a full drum and percussion set here.
