Another very beautiful handcrafted shepherd's hut is now ready for new owners. A lot of time and love was spent in creating this bespoke hut as you can see in the pictures.
Few details of the hut.
One of the biggest one we do....6m long and 2.35m wide so it can benefit of double doors, breakfast bar for 2 persons and enough space for a wood burner left if you decided you want one . All the give you enough room for a very generous and cozy bench, on the opposite side, about 150cm long with lots of storage under, and also a beautiful handcrafted kitchen from reclaimed wood with a cute baby Belfast sink and microwave/grill oven.
Standard double bed with Ottoman mechanism, so you can use all that storage under.
Underfloor heating going into the bathroom as well, with a digital thermostat and also a small towel-rail in the bathroom so plenty to keep you warm.
Very generous bathroom with spacious shower (1000mm wide), handcrafted bathroom furniture from reclaimed scaffold boards and pallets and a nice matching sink.
Exterior cladding, 16mm treated T&G, double skin construction, with all the membranes ( breathable and double vapor barrier). Also all the structure is built on a 4x2 frame with 4 inch of Celotex insulation all the way around.
Solid oak doors and windows all the way around. Corrugated metal roof.
As you can probably tell we love recycling and the reclaimed wood....so we covered almost all the interior on it. All the ceiling and wall cladding is made from reclaimed pallet wood.....the bed, bench, bathroom furniture from salvaged scaffold boards....door fronts from reclaimed pallets.....Lots of hours went into calibrating and sanding down every single individual piece of wood to achieve this beautiful finish.
And we didn't stopped there, even the fabrics for the sitting bench is made from recycled materials and beautifully put together by Erica Sawdon.
