Senior Project Accountant

12 Month Contract Ideally based at Guildford or Christchurch (Other UK sites can be available) Inside IR35 2-3 days onsite (Flexibility) GBP43.15 per hour (Umbrella Rate) Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the C5ISR Finance team within the Project Accounting Capability Centre in the recently-formed Digital Intelligence business. We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Project Accountant to report into the Finance Manager and take on responsibility for the financial performance of a number of projects and accounts within our portfolio. The C5ISR business is focused towards cross-network, intelligent application of technology across the Defence industry. We aim to deliver an information advantage to our customers with communication, wireless and sensor innovation. The overall environment within Digital Intelligence is fast-paced, focused on continuous improvement within the changing market place, and working alongside enthusiastic and hard-working employees. The role would ideally be based in Christchurch/Guildford or across the southern sites, however all UK locations will be considered. Our team are primarily hybrid working and there is the opportunity to work from the office as needed. Key Deliverables: Ownership and delivery of all Project Accounting information, including CSRs / SSRs and bespoke insights as pertinent to the needs of the project Provide support to the Project Managers to ensure projects deliver on the financial performance committed to at bid Production of accurate financial forecasting for both new and existing business, including risks, opportunities and detailed variance analysis Develop a close relationship with the Project Management teams in their respective account areas and be seen as the primary point of contact for Finance by the Project teams\" Key Skills / Experience: Qualifications required for this role: CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent proven experience Essential Skills required for this role: Strong Business Acumen Project Accounting experience Ability to communicate with various stakeholders Desirable Skills required for this role: Ability to use IT to drive business improvements and enhance management reporting JAM Recruitment is acting as an employment business with regards to this position.
