Senior Character Artist

Tec Partners are working with a fast growing and exciting VR studio who are now looking for their next Senior Character Artist. They have successfully scaled up in the last 3 years to accommodate the multiple projects they've won which is only set to continue throughout 2023 and 2024. The right person will have significant experience on released titles and be already comfortable in the senior artist role. You will be tasked with creating realtime game characters for an exciting unannounced VR game, working closely with the Art Director and animators to ensure visual standards, technical requirements and best practices are maintained. Skills required: Ideal experience is someone with a strong portfolio of humanoid characters, hard surface (armour etc.) as well as more stylized models. Excellent understanding of up to date character art pipelines. Eagerness to work across different visual styles. Strong understanding of the technical limitations of making game-ready art, optimisation etc. Great attention to detail and aesthetics. Strong communication skills.You will be working with a fun and experienced team in their new studio based in Leeds, whilst they can accommodate fully remote, the preference would be to have someone based in the studio a couple of times per week to assist with your personal development.
