SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT - Full Time - Birmingham
An 'Outstanding' special school in Birmingham are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their successful team. The school are looking for someone who has experience supporting children with Autism. You may have experience within mainstream or specialist settings, and may have additional training that would be beneficial to the role - such as Autism Awareness/ Safeguarding/ Positive Behaviour support / TeamTeach
The School is a specialist setting, caring for children and young people between 4 - 11 years of age. The school aim is to ‘strive together to make a great school where everybody works together to transform lives' The successful applicant would be supporting Primary aged pupils either on a 121 or small group basis, under the direction of the class teacher.
The successful candidate must be warm, ing, and able to build strong relationships from the get-go. You must be proactive in your approach whilst making learning fun and enjoyable for the young learners and also remaining resilient in your positive behaviour support.
