Accounts Assistant
Burgess Hill, RH15 9NF
Full time – Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with an hour lunch
Permanent position upon completion of a 3-month probationary period
£22,000 - £25,000 per annum depending on experience

Our client is a leading supplier of vehicle repair and refinish products. Their aim is to provide a one-stop solution to all of their bodyshop and distribution partners, with efficient delivery of the best products at competitive prices.
Over the past century, the business has developed many strong industry-relevant partnerships, enabling them to offer innovative products, services, and support to bodyshops and distribution partners across the country.
About the role:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Process stock purchase invoices and credit notes, resolve queries with managers and suppliers.
Provide progress reports on invoices and credit notes processed monthly.
Reconcile supplier statements, prepare details for monthly payment runs.
Build monthly stock account for management accounts with branch valuations.
Investigate gross margin variances by analysing stock purchases.
Attend monthly meetings to review gross margin with margin review team.
Support Business Analyst with daily report on sales and projected margin.
Review supplier returns and un-invoiced deliveries, clear aged balances.
Analyze customer spend and submit monthly spend data reports to suppliers.
Review items sent to customers for stock schemes and demos, submit relevant claims to suppliers.
Assist Overheads Controller with month-end procedures and purchase ledger closure on day 1 of new month.
About you:
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone is looking to grow with a thriving business in an exciting industry. You must have strong IT skills, including a basic understanding of Excel. Previous experience in a similar role is not essential as well will provide full training to the right applicant.
