Each church has a short (3 to 4) page description along with its illustration.
The churches are from all over England - 16 different counties.
Internally, occasional very light foxing to the text pages, but generally good - the lithos are bright and attractive. Externally the front board is rather faded.
Color plates engraved and printed by Benjamin Fawcett.
Hardbound volume with maroon cloth covered boards, gilt title and picture to the front board, with 18 colour plates.
This volume contains condensed histories of eighteen rural churches carefully chosen for their interesting architecture by Sidney Corner. The churches are:
