ROSEWOOD JEWELRY BOX - Vintage Chinese Box w/ Pierced & Engraved Brass Fittings, Padded Silk Lining

This gorgeous vintage Chinese jewelry box is beautifully made from solid Rosewood, with pierced and engraved brass fittings.
The interior of the box pletely lined with padded (orange, red & gold) Silk brocade.
It has sections on either side with slots for 8 rings or pairs of earrings.
The bottom of the box has 4 triangular feet and there is a tiny red enamelled plaque which says 'Made In China' in English and in Chinese characters.
All of the Brass fittings, including the handles and hasp, are engraved with fascinating detail and have a lovely patina. There is no lock, but a small Brass padlock could be inserted through one of the front hasp loops.
The box measures 5 1/8 in. (13 cm) x 9 3/8 in. (23.8 cm) x 3 in. (7.5 cm). It is in very good condition, inside and out.
