On behalf of Tesco Bank, AMS are now looking for a Regulatory Compliance (Conduct) Advisory Manager for an initial contract length of 6 Months based in their Edinburgh team based on a hybrid working Model(candidates who are based elsewhere in the UK will also be considered if they can attend the office in Edinburgh once a fortnight or adhoc in line with business needs.)

Purpose of the role
The Regulatory Compliance (Conduct) Advisory Manager will provide advice and guidance to the Value Stream, Customer or CS on regulation, conduct and all other risk disciplines (bringing in specialist risk expertise as appropriate), bring the outside in through horizon scanning, bench marking, and industry best practice, and support the Value Stream in embedding good customer outcomes
Key responsibilities:
Regulatory Affairs: Deliver pre-established outcomes and/or provide support services while operating within the organisation's established regulatory and governance systems and protocols.Organisational Capability Building: Provide coaching to team members to develop their skills.Information and Business Advice: Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues and referring very complex or contentious issues to others.Operational Compliance: Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organisation's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards. OR Identify, within the team, patterns of non-compliance with the organisation's policies and procedures, and with relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, taking appropriate action to report and resolve these and escalating issues as appropriate.Performance Management: Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance. OR Monitor the performance of the team; allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality; contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.Horizon Scanning: Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organisation.Organisational Risk Management: Keep track of risk parameters, identifying any more deviations and reporting them to more senior colleagues.
