This is a superb piano, factory reconditioned in Japan, that would suit a professional musician, serious amateur or perhaps a very lucky beginner! It has pletely reconditioned, tuned, regulated and voiced and is now ready for it’s next home. The Yamaha U1 and U3 are the benchmark modern upright pianos and much sought after for their smooth and responsive action and big and bright sound - the U1 is a great piano but the U3 being 10cm taller has an even deeper tone, most noticeable in the bass section which is far superior to many small grand pianos!
Tone and tuning
Stunning bold, rich and full tone throughout the registers and a large dynamic range. Tuned to concert pitch prior to sale (A=440).
Keyboard and action
The keyboard is in perfect condition and the action has been regulated so plays perfectly smoothly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight. Very expressive and responsive for developing or advanced level players.
Hammers and strings
The hammers have been refaced and carefully voiced. Strings in excellent condition also with no dullness in tone anywhere.
Soundboard
Excellent condition, spruce soundboard.
Case
In as new condition - simply a stunning looking instrument.
A matching height adjustable stool is included in the sale.
