Quicksilver 3.1m planing Rhino Rib
This is a ready to use Quicksilver 3.1m planing Rhino Rib (model AA3060R9N). It dates from about 2000. This was sold in two versions, one with a central sit on console with wheel and this version without the console for more general rib/tender use. Unlike most small ribs which have a soft bottom this has a moulded polyethylene semi-V bottom. The inflatable tubes are removable if required. I have pdf copies of the 2001 brochure and the operators manual. It can be carried on a car roof.
It has no leaks es with two oars for rowing which are attached to the rib sides and a pump for inflation. Over winter I release the pressure in the tubes which is why it looks a little deflated. It is in good condition but in need of a good clean! The thwart has degenerated with time but is still sound. It can easily be replaced.
I bought this to use as a safety boat when my kids were out on our Toppers and has had fairly low use. It planes and will run at high speed on the plane if you want to tow toys (Ringo etc. If you google Rhino Rib you will see videos of the speed achievable with a 15hp outboard.
