My client is recruiting for a PR Executive to drive positive editorial and be the day-to-date press officer. This role will also support the delivery of the groups' UK corporate and internal communication plans. We need someone with previous PR experience, ideally from within a travel organisation or agency background working with Travel clients, who has excellent contacts with UK consumer and trade travel media, bloggers and Influencers. Job Accountabilities Support the annual PR plan for holiday brands Build and maintain excellent relationships with key media targets Be the first point of contact and respond to incoming media requests Contribute to crisis planning and respond as required, collaborating with brand social and direct marketing teams as needed - this could be out of hours. Help to arrange and host media events and attend travel media networking events. Draft and sell-in / distribute press releases, brand communications, alerts, quotes, comments, statements and award entries Utilise your own channels, particularly LinkedIn, to promote brand messages and objectives to key audiences. Work with the Brand Marketing teams, creative, SEO or other agencies to ensure strategic and messaging alignment across the marketing mix and ensure any content and social activations are supported through PR. You will have: Degree level education in Public Relations; English; Journalism; Marketing or similar Previous PR experience, in-house and/or agency side - ideally with travel-based organisations. UK media relations experience - key consumer media contacts across print, online and broadcast media outlets, existing relationships in travel (consumer, and trade), consumer lifestyle and technology media preferred The ability to develop and deliver imaginative content and brand campaign ideas The ability to manage changing requirements while staying focused and on point Good level of experience working across various stakeholder groups, responding to briefs and managing own workload.
