For sale is my 2005 Porsche Boxster S 3.2
113,500 miles

Good condition. No major dings or marks at all. Well looked after (see account below) and loved. I have v5 and 2 keys.

6 speed manual
PSM
Xenon ('litronic') self levelling headlights.
Recently refurbished Lobster wheels (lovely condition!)

I purchased this car in July 2021 at around 106,000 miles after selling my supercharged MX5. This was a far fortable, smooth and capable upgrade and i've loved every second owning and driving it - pretty sad to see it go but life has me needing something more practical so i've moved onto a Jag XF-S.

Before purchasing the car I had it inspected privately - by someone fairly well known in the Porsche forums & socials. He gave it a generally very positive report and encouraged me it was a good buy, with the following points. (and all these points still apply today. Can provide the report if you like)
Bodywork and paint very good and doesn't reflect mileage of the car.
Small age related chips but nothing significant.
Glass - some small chips but nothing of concern.
Roof fabric in very good condition, showing no wear and operating correctly.

All storage areas in good condition with teh correct apparatus in the toolkit present.
All interior materials showing minimal wear and all in good condition.
All switches and controls working properly.
No sign of any leaks or water ingress.

Underbody trays all good and in-tact, and fastened properly.
No rattles or looseness in any areas, including exhaust & cats etc. Just the usual surface rust on fixings.
Engine and gearbox leak free.
Brake pipes in good condition.
Diagnostics check showing no issues.
Evidence of recently fitted new ignition coils.

Road test - Car performed well with no noises, issues, or unexpected behaviours from engine, dials inside or suspension/steering/brakes etc.

Only negatives from the inspection were -
AC wasn't working. Crossover/coolant pipes 'need doing' (common on these cars). Brake discs very worn and need doing.

After purchasing the car I repaired the AC myself by replacing the 2 front condenser/radiators & seals (have photos somewhere!) then got it all tested, lubricated and filled by my local ATS who reported it's all perfect on their leakback tests etc. Been flawless since - icy cold, and hot, very quickly.
New cabin filter. New AC dryer filter conditioning NRF. Unclogged all drain holes.
After this I got the 'crossover pipes' sorted at Cotswold Porsche Specialists - have invoice/receipts.
A few months later for my MOT I replaced all discs and pads (with all Mintex stuff if i recall correctly) on all 4 corners. This was approximately 4000 miles ago so tons of life left.

Other work I've done is:
Replaced interior lights with whiter LEDs.
Replaced headlight bulbs (dipped beam & main beam) with brighter & whiter xenons, and also the sidelights with white LED bulbs.
Home made front air-scoop grills. Attached with clear silicon, to protect from eating anything else and damaging the new AC rads.
Installed new speakers in the doors to replace the old (incorrectly fitted) ponents that were in there as they sounded awful. (long story, the car was badged up inside as bose, with bose badge on doors, but did not have the bose amp or the subwoofer on the shelf behind - weird I know!) Sounds pretty good now. Made my own 3D printed adapters for the speakers. (Audison AP6 6.5\" 70wRMS 4ohm)
In summer 2022 I did a full Oil & filter change. (Bosch Filter, Mobil Super 3000 x1 5w-40). Installed a new Magnetic sump plug too.
Ran my CTEK battery conditioner and charger on it a couple of times just for peace of mind.
Installed a proper Brodit Proclip phone holder for the 987 interior. Looks and works great.
Had CPS replace the window regulator on driver side after it crumbled on me - the icy/frozen weather over Xmas had weakened it I guess. Common issue now sorted.
Very recently installed a new starter motor with genuine Bosch part from Design 911 (it had started squealing sometimes, maybe 1 in 10 times on startup - mon problem sorted). Operating great.

MOT in 2022 - failed first time due to me not adjusting the handbrake properly after fitting all the new discs and pads, and my side light bulbs were dead! Passed fine after I adjusted the handbrake again.
MOT in 2023 - Brand new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres fit to the rear (so less than 1000 miles ago!). Failed first time on headlight auto adjuster needing a new link in the suspension - got that sorted at Cotswold Porsche Specialists (have receipts). After passing this time the only advisories left are discoloured indicator bulb (sorted with a new bulb), a greasy brake pipe (CPS said they did this to protect it) and a tiny leak in the exhaust. I'm booked in with CPS to get the 'slightly damaged' brake pipe assessed (thanks for the vagueness MOT centre).

I've probably forgotten a few bits i've done/fixed/treated over my fairly short ownership but hopefully this large account of the past 2 years (and only 7,000 miles!) gives peace of mind it's been looked after and given anything it needed.

Genuinely very sad to see this go but it's not going to be getting used much and with a fresh MOT and new tyres it's set for a summer on the road with someone else behind the wheel.
