Hours: Tues 14.00-21.30
Weds 14.00-21.00
Sat 09.30-13.00 & 17.00-21.00
Sun 17.00-21.00 and then 09.30-13.00 fortnightly
I am expanding my Team of PAs. Take your pick & apply for as many or as few of the above shifts as you like!
A full-time wheelchair user, I’m a young-at-heart 43 year old busy Mum to an 18 and 19 year old and am seeking Personal Assistants to support me.
Outgoing and bubbly in nature with a wicked sense of humour, I enjoy long beach visits, eating out, going to the cinema and spending time with my family and friends to name but a few of my past-times, all whilst being panied by my cheeky sidekick, my wonderful assistance dog.
In brief, your role will include supporting me with personal care tasks, all aspects of running a home and accessing social activities. You should be motivated, cheerful, understanding and dependable.
Most importantly you should be reliable and punctual as well as discreet and respectful of my privacy.
This is a fun job where the right person and I will have many laughs along the way!
Other Requirements
• Must fortable with dogs
• Non-smoker preferred or someone who is willing to refrain from smoking during work hours.
• Will be required to take regular lateral flow tests weekly
• Driver with a UK driving licence essential – you will be required to drive me in my own adapted vehicle

Description
Typical duties
Domestic:
Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away
Helping with laundry, washing, and drying
Loading and unloading the washing machine
Loading and unloading tumble dryer/washing line
Changing bed linen
Bed making
General cleaning
Taking out rubbish
General housework, including cleaning, dusting, and vacuuming.
Minor household maintenance e.g. changing light bulbs, taking down curtains for washing
Preparing drinks, snacks, and meals.
Shopping
Maintenance of small garden, perhaps half an hour a week
Assist with grooming dog (training provided) – employer would help
Tidying
Correspondence e.g. reading letters, help writing replies, form-filling, assisting with household paperwork
Making phone calls on my behalf when I am too unwell to do this
Making tea for the employer's guests
Any other reasonable task
Personal Care:
• Supervision and/or assistance with showering, drying, hair washing/ brushing as required
• Help getting into and out of shower as required
• Assistance with applying cream and make up
• General hair/skin care
• Using the toilet
• Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings
• Getting into bed
• Any other reasonable task
Social:
panying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required
pany employer when accessing social and leisure activities
panying employer to doctors/hospital appointments when required
Physio/hydro appointments
panying when clothes-buying, including help with un/dressing and lifting clothes on/off the rails.
Occasional longer journeys
panying on trips out e.g. to the library, the vet, meditation classes, to see family
Driving and panying to social events such as:
Cinema
Evening meetings
panying on trips out e.g. to take photographs at the beach or in the woods or, visiting friends.
panying on trips out e.g. to the garden centre, beach, cinema, craft fairs, local visits, out shopping for fun, attending social events, attending therapies and disability group
panying to social meetings e.g. friends, family
Whilst on duty at the employer’s home watching TV and assisting with craft activities
Person specification
The successful applicant will be:

• Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised
• Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
• Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills

• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to always work to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind mon-sense approach to these roles.
