Prune Forsythia, Hydrogenas and Penstemons
Take basal cuttings from Lupins, Delphiniums and Campanulas
Add Waterlilies and Irises to pond. To discourage algae you can put a bag of barley strew in pond
Prepare rockery
Divide and thin out hardy perennials
There is still time to plant your hedge, trees and shrubs.
If lawn has bare spots now is good time to sow seeds, boost with fertiliser. You can also apply weed and moss killer for the perfect lawn.
Create herb garden and perhaps sow Chives, Coriander, Dill and Parsley
Get ready for a colourful Summer and Autumn and here are some suggestions which you can sow from seeds: Love in a Mist, Sunflower, Dianthus, Osteospermum, Marigolds, Poppies, Calendula, Comfrey…maybe make a wildflower area and sow a mixture?
