Operations Manager
Our client is a growing and ambitious Transport company, working within the Parcel industry. Our client provides services to some of the world's biggest Parcel Carriers and work from a number of locations across the Central Belt in Scotland. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an Operations Manager to join their great team.
Responsibilities:
Manage team of couriers and supervisors to ensure excellent levels of customer service are achieved on a daily basis through communication and technology.Build good rapport and trust with our team members.Manage fleet of vans, ensuring they are maintained to high standards and daily/weekly checks are carried out.Monitoring Fleet efficiency using Osprey & Radius telematics.Recruitment - ensuring we have a continual pipeline of new drivers to help achieve growth targets.Providing excellent communication and transparency to our clients and being proactive with daily challenges that arise within our industry.Coach new and existing team members on standards and provide continuous improvement.Develop processes and systems that streamline and enhance our Operations.Work within Budget and maximise profitability of each route on a daily basisBe prepared to get stuck in and deliver parcels if and when necessary.
Desired Attributes/Experience:
Be a dynamic problem solver who can deal with pressure and think on their feet.Must have a Growth Mindset.Must be disciplined with their time management.Previous Management experience within the Transport Industry is essential.Be someone who can drive performance within the team and elevate service to new heights.Must be an excellent communicator, you will be dealing with couriers, clients, suppliers and need to be able to adapt to a variety of scenarios.To be calm under pressure and deal with conflict in an effective, professional manner.Must be physically fit and active.
