GBP6 k OTE The Job Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen within our client s specialist manufacturing organisation for an experienced Operations Management professional. As Operations Manager, the successful candidate will form a key member of the management team and will lead company operations for the successful business as it continues to grow, and go from strength to strength. Our award-winning client has ambitious plans, having recently moved to their new purpose-built manufacturing facility and successfully completed the purchase of additional businesses to form a group. Our client works with blue chip customers across a variety of sectors including food, plastics, energy, recycling, building, and agriculture with approximately 50% of their sales being exported internationally. Our client has ambitious plans to become the most profitable and best manufacturer within their sector by 2028. As Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be integral to the success of the business. We are looking to speak to experienced professionals who will be responsible for the following; Managing the company operations across three sites Delivery key KPIs Development of team engagement Manage direct reports on each site including Factory Managers and Team Leaders Develop Team Leaders through internal and external training Mentoring staff to ensure the factory can operate autonomously A key member of the SLT to develop the long-term strategy for the business including quarterly and annual plans Responsible for productivity growth of 20% YoY Prepare and present reports and forecasts to the management team Hold weekly meetings with each team Hold regular reviews with direct line reports Development of a CAPX plan including working with the Sales Manager to develop a strong NPD pipeline (10% of sales to come from the new product base) Management of suppliers to reduce operational costs by 15% YoY Our client is looking for an experienced and capable Operations Manager who will ideally have experience successfully delivering operations in a world-class manufacturing environment. Applicants should have a good degree (ideally within a technical subject) and will have previously completed a management training programme in a Blue Chip environment. The successful candidate should possess excellent people skills, should be highly motivated, numerate, and have a coaching leadership style.
