Lundy Bird is an Ocean Bird 30ft trimaran built by Honor Marine in South Devon.
She was one of the last out of the moulds and was purchased to be home finished. Illness got in the way of pletion and missioned in 1997 she wasn’t launched until 2010 by the current owner.
She has been cruised around the SouthWest of England, to Wales, the Scilly isles and France. She is remarkably fast for a 30 foot boat although has trimaran pointing ability. Her Vetus 3.10 23hp diesel engine is frugal and reliable. She has a folding propeller.
She is able to carry her tender and canoes ( or other toys) on her nets without interfering with deck space.
She has 5 berths but for extended trips 2 or 3 is a fortable number of crew.
She is serviced, antifouled (as she has been every year) and prepared for a month away this year but an opportunity arose and I’ve bought a larger boat.

2016 Electric winch fitted with 50m of 8mm chain and 35 lb plough anchor. Boat and mast rewired with marine grade wire. New jib, main and stack pack.

2021 New hatch covers
2022 New prop shaft cutlass bearing and PSS gland. New house battery
She is currently ashore in North Devon Yacht Club and will be launched at the start of the season.
