My Favourite Enid Blyton Story Book 1964 Original Vintage Hardback. Very Good Used Condition.

Being offered for sale here is a very good condition nice clean lightly used vintage hard back book containing a selection of all the kinds of stories Enid Blyton fans liked the best. Evocative of a bygone era but still a jolly good read, for children and adults alike, as well as being highly collectable.

Enid Blyton was born in August 1897 and sadly died in November 1968 - four years after this book of favourites was published.

She was an English children’s writer whose books have been among the world’s best sellers since the 1930s. Her books are still enormously popular, and have been translated into 90 languages.

All the stories in this 124 page book are beautifully illustrated throughout in colour. It also has full colour illustrated end papers and a full coloured pictorial hard cover.

This book has been lightly used and is in overall very good condition for its age. Its publication did not include a dust jacket. The book’s hard covers and inside pages are not marred by notes or highlighting or colouring in or prior owner inscriptions. Its binding remains firm and tight, and the spine pletely intact and in good condition; with some signs of creasing and wear at the top and bottom from having spent most of its life on a shelf. The cloth spine is slightly faded, but its gold lettering is still bright and crisp. There are no loose or missing pages, nor any rips or tears or stains to the cover or inside pages. The covers have various small signs of use on them – which is to be expected given this is a vintage item. The inside pages show a little light yellow discolouration, commensurate with their age. However, the text and illustrations are still bright and clear.

This is a private sale from a pet and smoke free home. The book has been in the possession of the current owner since it was originally purchased shortly after publication.
