Mercedes-Benz, 1974, 450 SLC (C107) LHD Rally Spec

A mechanically sound rally prepared car; LHD and used on many continental and UK events during the last 7 years of my ownership (imported in 2015 and fully UK road legal and registered). Always garaged when not in use (under dust cover with battery trickle charger).
Built in 1974 in Germany (an original LHD with modifications e.g. headlights, to be UK road legal e.g. MOT), imported from Holland and fully re-registered on GB/UK number plates.
Is historic vehicle so no annual VED/Road Tax required.
New MOT until 2 October 2023 (no advisories)
Serviced 30 September 2022 (replaced Engine Oil, new Oil Filter, new Air Filter, changed Brake Fluid etc)
New Fuel pump and in-line fuel pipe just fitted
Overall condition is FAIR to GOOD. Always garaged when not in use (under dust cover with battery trickle charger).
Reading 118k km's (original continental odometer), but this is recorded as miles in all UK paperwork, so really only 73,000 miles (or an average of 1,500 miles per year through its lifetime!)
The bodywork / paint / chrome has not been touched and shows some signs of rally related dinks, scratches, rust patches etc (not the most important aspects of a rally car, so always last to get any attention after mechanicals!)
Mechanically in good condition, regularly serviced and MOT'd; much work done when arrived in UK by my mechanic and specialist garages Rees Bros and Roger Edwards Motors.
Good history file (all documented in my ownership and some from prior work done in Netherlands).
The black bonnet is a \"wrap\" to make it more of a Rally tribute to twice winners of the Ivory Coast World Championship Rally in 1979 and ’80, with the 450 and 500 cars driven by some of the greatest rally drivers of time!
A full rally \"skid tray\" has been fitted under the engine bay (see picture). Fitted with an upgraded twin horn array (with console button allowing for navigator/co-driver operation)
The number plates have been recently replaced with period (silver on black) plates and the original ones are included.
Some spares (original steering wheel; door seal; replacement rear quarterlight sealed windows and trims); original front seats etc (see pictures) included.
All fitted rally equipment (smaller steering wheel fitted (original included), rally seats & harnesses, rally trip meter (retrotrip mechanical), 3 clocks/timers, fire-extinguisher (in front of co-driver seat), not quite visible in internal picture; co-driver foot-rest; additional \"cigarette sockets\" to power accessories like a \"potty\" etc) is included.
