Selling my 2.3 Mazda 6 Sport. 79k miles, 6 months MOT, 2 previous owners before me. It's been a great car for the few years I've had it but due to personal reasons and just not driving it as much as I should It needs to be sold.

It's very much a bypass/motorway cruiser with all the power you need and more at hand for quick overtakes. Air conditioning, Cruise Control, Power Steering and a 6 CD auto changer make it a relaxed drive along with power windows and a powered sunroof for warmer days. great for someone running longer distances while having all the room needed for family or friends, spacious interior, many smaller storage spaces, drink holders and a boot big enough to fit a grown man and that's before dropping the rear seats.

It's done 79,400 miles so far (this will increase slowly since it's still in use) but feels great to drive. No service history with it since it didn'e with one when I bought it but for its age it has a great MOT history, it’s passed first time every time for the few years I've had it.

General info about the car and any issues I'd highlight:

The car was undersealed early in 2022 to help prevent any rust issues that could have happened given southwest weather (seen on its latest MOT as an advisory), but it was very clean underneath beforehand so doubt there should be any issues.

Some parts of the brakes have been showing some wear recently so got them replaced. the brakes were cleaned and serviced in the process, they squeak during braking but work fine otherwise.

The engine is fantastic, never had a problem with it. It's always started no issues and runs wonderfully.

The car feels nice to drive and looks in pretty good condition but it's still nearly 17 years old, there is some age-related wear and tear on the body (light scratching, tiny dents, small marks on the bonnet, clouding in the head lights, alloys showing a bit of age). The interior is very clean though there is a small rip in the back seat which was there when I brought it. The steering wheel is showing wear mainly on the right side. These don't ruin the enjoyment or look of the car but it's all stuff that is going to be spotted if paying attention to it

The car had 4 locking wheel nuts on it but due to the key for them breaking I had them replaced with standard wheel nuts. The locking wheel nuts and key are still with the car since it came with them but are wrapped up and basically useless.

*This is the IMPORTANT point PLEASE READ: *

The central locking works fine but only manually using the key in the door. It came with 2 keys, the main key had a damaged chip which was setting the car alarm off after unlocking it remotely and the second key had badly damaged casing with no chip at all. I took the keys to get repaired but given cost and the fact it didn't bother me much the damaged chip was removed and the casing put back on the main key, it locks the car fine with no issues using it manually but it won't do anything if used remotely. The second key is in the folder with the car's paperwork, the flipping mechanism and key itself are fine. It works to lock/unlock the car but the main part of the casing is gone since there wasn't much left of it.
TLDR: 2 keys with car, central locking works fine but only when the keys are used manually in the door. Remote locking doesn't work since there is no chip in either.
That's it. outside of the key situation and generally age-related marks which don't lessen the enjoyment of the car or how it feels to drive, it's a great car. I've loved it for the few years I've owned it and regret having to sell it. It needs to be on longer more open roads and journeys. With enough power and space giving it a hatchback exec cruiser feel, I love the car but my general driving style means and use means it doesn't go out often or far enough for what the car is designed to do. So hopefully the next owner can enjoy and get better use out of it.
