Looking for a runaround (please read ad)

Hi there, my own car needs major repair done to it and I'm looking for a runaround until its fixed. I don't want a new car on finance as my car is actually quite reliable (usually). I just need a basic runaround until mine is back on the road.
All I care about is that it's not stolen (obviously), it has a MOT of something like 6 months and there are no major mechanical issues that will see it pack in at the side of the road. I'm not bothered about make, model or mileage as it is a stopgap car. I don't care if its an old car where the paintwork is crap as long as its mechanically sound for the time I need it.
If there are problems with it - ie you don't think it's going to pass its next MOT - then just be honest with me.
Ideally I'd prefer a Vauxhall or Ford but I really don't care at this point
