For sale is my (now retro, high-end for the time!) custom air-cooled gaming PC build.
This features:
- Lian-Li PC-V1010b all aluminium case (with optional side panel);
- i7 920 D0 stepping;
- EVGA GeForce GTX 295 (gen 2)
- EVGA X58 classified mATX motherboard;
- 6 GB Corsair DDR3 dominator RAM;
- 1TB WD Black HDD;
- Xigmatek Thor's Hammer heatsink;
- Xigmatek fans (2 x 120mm, 1 x 140mm);
- Coolermaster 1000w fully modular power supply; and
- LG blu-ray and DVD drive.
This was my main PC for gaming and workstation applications a few years back, but hasn't seen much use lately. This would be well suited for anyone after a retro gaming setup to relive a bygone gaming era (yes, it could run Crysis at a time when not many PCs could!) as well as still serving as a solid all around PC.
I used it to play older Valve titles like CS:Source and Half-Life 2, but can handle a bevy of more modern games at 1080p no problem.
Of particular note is the X58 classified motherboard with its near invincible build quality (featured a lifetime warranty!) and was the highest end motherboard of this socket's generation, as well as the GTX 295 which at time of release was the fastest single GPU for gaming.
Could do with a bit of TLC especially with the case fans and possibly the power supply, so have priced this to suit.
