Learning Support Assistant - SouthamptonAcademics are recruiting on behalf of an 'Outstanding' Primary SEN School in Southampton which caters for pupils aged 4-11 with severe learning difficulties and other associated needs such as autism, speech and language disorders and challenging behaviours. All pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).Learning Support Assistant - SouthamptonThey require Learning Support Assistants who will be available for work from September. This would be a full time temp to perm role and the school hours are from 8.45am - 3.15pm.You will be supporting classes of up to 9 pupils with 1 class teacher and 3 LSA's. You will be required to support on a 1:1 and small group basis and assist with feeding and personal hygiene duties. Due to the needs of the children, this is suited to someone with previous experience of working in a similar environment.The school is purpose built and includes soft play rooms, mutli-sensory interactive rooms and a hydrotherapy pool.If you are an experienced special needs assistant and you are seeking work, please get in touch and send a copy of your updated CV using the link provided.
