I am considering selling my 2007 Defender and looking to see if there is any interest. I am not currently in a hurry to sell, but am considering getting an electric car on the salary sacrifice scheme so won't need the Land Rover.

I have owned the car since September 2021, during which time I have only covered roughly 8,000 miles in it. Throughout this period I have not had any significant mechanical problems. All I have had to do is replace the MAF sensor with a genuine Land Rover part in December 2021, and replace a split intercooler pipe in September 2022. Everything else mechanically on this car is sound - Engine runs nice and smooth, pulls well through all the gears.

New clutch fitted in 2020 (Roughly 110,000 miles on the clock) and the all important injector seals were replaced in 2021. Rear shocks and springs were replaced in February 2022 to bring it back down to standard ride height as was on a 2 inch lift on the rear only.

Partial service history - Garage serviced from new until 2015, then self-serviced from 2016 until 2020. It had a full service done in 2021 including coolant flush, then in September 2022 (1000 miles ago) it had a had a full service to replace all fluids and filters, including differential oils. It also had its MOT done in the same month and passed with just 1 minor (1 of the rear break lights has some LEDs out).

Inside the car comes with very comfortable Exmoor trim seats and the all important high rise cubby box. Genuine Land Rover sound deadening / rubber matting for the seat box, gearbox tunnel and footwells. The rear load bed also has a genuine Land Rover rubber matting. There is a fold out stereo with Bluetooth connectivity and in car microphone. This works fine except the fold out mechanism is a bit clunky and gets stuck sometimes.

The exterior of the car has the XS style front grille set, full LED lights all round, smoked indicator lights, sawtooth alloy wheels, etc. The bodywork has its fair share of scuffs and dings, and some rusting to the driver side body capping on the tub which I have tried to take as many accurate photos as possible of. The paint on the roof has also started to peal but its mostly hidden from view (Unless you're really tall!). The sawtooth alloys could do with a bit of a refurb as they have some strange lacquer peal going on.

The chassis is spotless on this car with no rust. In February 2021 I sent the car to South West Rust Proofing in Bristol where they carried out a full underbody rust treatment with Dinitrol. I have hundreds of pictures of the before and after treatment, as well as a full report, so you can see the chassis was clean before the treatment was done, and the treatment is not simply hiding any rust. It is booked in later this month to have a top up done of the rust proofing.

- 5x Goodyear Wrangler tyres (£900)
- Full underbody rust treatment (£962)
- Genuine Land Rover door seals, bottom door seals, outer waste seals (£264.42)
- Black Defender badging, XS style wing top vents and side vent (£135)
- Stainless steel carpet / matting retainers and seat box corner protectors from Bison Autodesign (£110)
- Front and rear door hinges (£130) and painted (£75)
- Gloss black mirrors and arms (£60)
- Fire and Ice style side steps (£200)
- Optimill reverse camera and rear view mirror with reverse camera built in (£200)
- Rear door gas strut (£45)

Also comes with (But not fitted):

- Gloss black exterior door handles (£50)
- Lucari Solutions front carpet / mat set (Seat box, gearbox tunnel, and footwell) and adhesive (£240)
