We are currently looking for a gifted and talented candidate e help support as a teaching assistant within KS2 classes in a one and a half form entry Primary school in the heart of Fleetwood Town. The school is proud of being munity school and the pupils are an outstanding reflection of the munity it serves. Within the beautiful listed building you are gifted with a bright and vibrant ing environment that is equipped with additional learning facilities such as an ICT suite, nurture spaces and well equipped Technology room.
The role would be to support on a long term basis Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 3:30pm to start Monday 20th February up until the end of the academic year. Due to the fact that this will be KS2 it is imperative that you have a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum as you will be needed to help classes prepare for SATS and mock exams. It is important that the candidate is engaging, committed, punctual with a level of adaptability and ability to use their own initiative in their approach to assisting with classroom tasks. You would receive a 30 minute lunch and will be required to support 30 minutes on break or lunch time duty. You would be expected to assist 1:1 or, small groups within the classroom that have been identified by the teacher.

The duties and responsibilities of this role will be as follows:
Reading, writing and SPAG support.
Adjusting or breaking down activities to support participation and understanding.
Develop a supportive relationship with the children that promotes self esteem and confidence.
To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional and behavioural needs of the child and respond to them effectively.
To liaise with the Teachers and SENCO about the development and support needed at home and in school for the children.
Monitor and maintain records of the pupils progress.
To assist with general school duties which may include setting up classrooms, preparing resources and displays and tidying and clearing away
Supervision of children during lunch times and Supervision of children entering and leaving school premises. Essential Requirements:
Knowledge of development matters
Must be an outgoing individual with an ability to engage with pupils and keep them motivated
Must be able to work collaboratively petently within a team
Must have childcare Level 2 or above.
An understanding of SEN or learning needs.
Knowledge of the new KS2 curriculum.Desirable Requirements:
