Functionality check

Cleanliness
-Each part of the chair is dismantled and cleaned thoroughly. This includes the frame and mesh.
Refurbishment Process
-Once cleaned each part is resprayed and left to dry for 2 hours (seat pan, back frame, York, Wheelbase spindle)
-If required, a brand new forward and back tilt kit is installed
-If required, brand new parts installed to ensure that the arms swivel/pivot in and outwards
-If required, replacement piston that patible with a Herman Miller Aeron chair
-Brand new seat pan and mesh if there are any major snags
Herman Miller Aeron classic is considered the Ferrari of chairs. This means that es with the price tag associated with a high-demand quality product. Therefore, you will find that many people are selling them, which seem to be at a bargain price. However, what may seem to be a bargain now could end up being a nightmare when es to finding and installing parts. Don’t get me wrong there are some gems in the market, but they are very rare to find.
From my personal experience, many customers buy chairs from someone who doesn’t fully understand or know about them. Months later they find that the piston is gone, or there is a crack in the york/seat pan, or other issues which they didn’t notice upon purchase.
They then go through the process of trying to find a specific part or an authorised Herman Miller repairer that can cost you half the value of the chair excluding parts and VAT. After the realisation that that bargain purchase will now cost you at least £250 to repair, most private sellers will sell the chair and not disclose to the new buyer of any major issues and then the circle repeats itself. I’ve experienced this many times.
Repairing and replacing parts for the Aeron classic can be extremely expensive as most of them are not being manufactured by Herman Miller Aeron anymore (end of life). This means the 2nd hand market for specific parts are high; companies/individual can literally charge extortion prices for them and if you can’t find cheaper you have no choice. Just go onto eBay and see for yourself!!
When buying from me, you can be certain that all the necessary checks have pleted and you are buying a chair that will hold its value as well as last you for the next 15 years.
