Head of Procurement
Based Liverpool - hybrid working.
Salary: GBP65-GBP75,000 + bonus + car allowance + benefits
This new entrant ISP and telecoms provider is currently building significant infrastructure to provide alternative broadband access.
They are well capitalised and have ambitious growth plans. As part of this expansion, they wish to hire a Head of Procurement to formalise and enhance their procurement function.
Responsibilities:
As Head of Procurement, you will lead and develop the buying function, including the formulation and delivery of the overall procurement strategy and processes.
Create and implement procedures and supply agreements.Develop relevant RFP documents as needed.Source and negotiate with suppliers, including the use of NEC3 or NEC4 standard forms.Comply with company procedures and strategy on supply chain management.Support stock control and reporting, working closely with the Finance team.Progress the provision of materials and services to meet delivery programmes to demanding deadlines.Raise orders ensuring compliance with internal governance.Participate in Framework Agreement ProcurementLead and run an end-to-end RFP process.Implement and enforce compliance of all procurement team activities with the approved business processes and procedures.Oversee the timely delivery of resources, goods, and services, to meet the needs of the business. Skills and Experience:
Proven experience of Telecoms, Technology or Construction procurement.Ability to lead and manage projects and organise key priorities.Strong experience working collaboratively with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.Experience of procurement leadership and management on multi-million-pound contracts and projects.In depth product knowledge of telecoms materials and equipment is advantageous.Good knowledge of suppliers, market prices and trends.Working knowledge of Contract T&Cs, including NEC contracts.Proven negotiation skills.Ability to work independently.Exceptional communication service skills.Experienced in use of Microsoft Office suite.
