Group Accountant

Blair West are supporting one of the leading retail businesses as they look to find a Group Accountant following a recent internal promotion. This is a business who has seen recent growth in sales, revenue and GP over the last 12 months and looks to continue that in 2023.
The opportunity: Prepare Group consolidation and workings behind the financial statements ensuring compliance with the applicable standards and regulationsManage the production of subsidiary statutory accountsPlan and execute the annual are interims audit timetables and management of auditors to ensure a smooth, timely processReview and posting of year-end tax journalsMonthly production of plc entity accountsPreparation of additional analysis required for City reporting / trading updatesInterpretation and analysis of the impact of the Group's financial reporting of developments and changes in GAAP. You'll be the ideal candidate for this role if you have: Hold a professional qualification (ACCA/ACA ideally)Experience in practice or from an existing group environmentUp to date working knowledge of developments in accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP) as well as corporate governanceHigh level of IT literacy and skillHave strong organisational and project management skillsWorking knowledge of tax
