Griselinia littoralis plant
Is an evergreen hedge option that makes a superb hedge with foliage throughout the season. The glossy, apple green foliage makes a lush and dense hedge that offers year-round interest and screening.
Also known as New Zealand Privet or New Zealand Broadleaf, this is a wonderfully diverse hedge plant suitable for coastal and inland positions.
Features: Evergreen foliage, year-round interest
Ideal For Hedges: 1m-6m high
Growth Rate: Average: 20-40cm a year
Position: Any normal soil including well-drained dry, sun or light shade, inland and coastal (but not exposed coastal)
Will tolerate moderate frosts well, grown in Wiltshire outdoors this is a hardy plant well suited to the soils of this area, but does well in most soils.
Planting: For best establishment, dig a hole 3 times pot size, remove any large stones, a generous hand full of bonemeal, ensuring well distributed, firm soil back around base and water well. Must be watered in dry weather untill established.
Plant at 18 inch/ 450mm intervals for a good single layer hedge.
