So we came up with the idea of GrandNanny, simply matching families who need childcare with local caregivers who have years of experience - providing a much needed extra pair of trusted, nurturing hands for busy parents.
Of course it's mostly about the children. Studies have shown that children benefit greatly from interacting with older generations which can be difficult with our current lifestyles where families are often living far away from grandparents. This is where GrandNanny is really special.
And we're looking for more people, maybe like yourself, to join our growing army of GrandNannies to help us continue to make a difference. Ideally, you have a wealth of skills and experience that you've built up over the years raising your own own families and/or working with children, and you're looking to do something positive and different to help the next generation, their parents and of course, provide fulfilment for yourself.
