Gibson Lg1 (1958).
Fantastic vintage Gibson in great condition for being 64 years old. I bought this guitar three years ago but can’t bring myself to take it out gigging as it would kill me if I damaged or lost it. It’s absolutely perfect for sitting in the studio or on the sofa writing songs and would be amazing to record with.
It has a crack at the bottom of the pickguard that has been repaired with a cleat that was already there when I bought the guitar and is very stable. The guitar is also pre drilled where the stap button was to modate a pickup.
I have swapped out the original Kluson tuners for the exact replacements without alterations as I wanted to be sure it would be able to stand up to playing live but the originals are more than useable and are selling on eBay for £200 and e with the sale.
A great 1950s Gibson at a sensible price with a modern hardcase and an old cardboard case that came with the guitar but I can’t promise that it was an original.
