This is a newly created role designed to provide inspirational senior leadership to the operational and commercial sides of this growing manufacturing business.
Reporting into the Group Operations Director, this individual will be responsible for representing this particular business unit at SLT meetings to report on performance and profitability. The role will also play a key part in keeping the SLT visible to the operational employees within this business - a \"link\" if you will, between the factory workers and the Group team. At this point, it's important to note that this link does currently exist within the business, but it is via someone seconded into the role - and their other day-job is growing again so this role will release that individual back into their elected role.
So, what will the role involve and (therefore) what are the requirements?
You will need to have risen through the ranks into senior leadership (/2 on-site) via manufacturing rolesYou will need to evidence sustained profitable growth in your role as a senior leaderIcing on the cake? If your manufacturing experience has been in the building products space Apart from that, given this is a manufacturing business, you will need to be visible in the business to keep hearts and minds \"won\". Manufacturing businesses work hard these days to engage and retain staff - this company is no different. Creating that sticky culture is absorbing work, so please picture the role being 5 days a week on-site in Burton.
