Finance Manager - London

Role: Finance Manager
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Pimlico, London and remote working
Start: ASAP
Salary: £40,000 DOE
We are looking for a professional and experienced Bookkeeper to join a small boutique interiors company in Pimlico, London. The company is based in London but has a great presence in the US.
You will manage all of the company’s financial dealings from payroll, supplier and client invoices, expenses/receipts for VAT returns, petty cash and arranging and managing Direct Debits/Standing Orders. It will be your responsibility to produce the yearly forecasts for analysis to assist with the company’s operational strategy and be experienced in monitoring cash flow to identify areas for potential improvement.
Ideally, you will be accustomed to Zero and MS Office software to hit the ground running and will be experienced in keeping in touch with technology advances and market trends to make sure the processes and procedures and as efficient as possible. You must also ensure all legislative requirements are adhered to.
As the role is 35 hours per week, the company is happy for you to work remotely so long as you are able to visit the office once or twice a week for meetings as and when required.
Duties and responsibilities:-
Process and monitor incoming payments, banking cheques weekly
Create and issue invoices ensuring prompt payments from external suppliers
Reconciling all expenses and receipts
Create yearly forecasts and budgets, coding all income to the budget and highlighting any expenditure over budget
Complete VAT returns Prepare and process monthly payroll
Create and implement new procedures to streamline current processes and ensure the company meetings all compliance obligations
Keep up to date financial records
Attend team meetings and training as required
Work effectively with all external partners such as suppliers, banks and Landlords
To be considered for the role you must;
Have 5 years previous experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and or/Finance or a superior
Accounting qualification
Have excellent contactable references
Excellent written and verbal command of the English language
