QS/Estimator - Storefitting Working as a member of the commercial team, you are required to use industry experience and knowledge to maintain, develop and provide estimates, reports, final accounts for client projects or internal use, including cost estimates, work time estimates, cost analysis and overall stakeholder satisfaction. QS is responsible for achieving best cost price in order for sales profit and financial gains for the business. The QS represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the costing cycle and ensuring stakeholders and customers needs and expectations are met by the company. They will also review current practices to ensure that they are able to improve efficiencies where possible, by means of amending processes, systems etc. QS responsibilities include delivering every project on time within the required criteria. QS will run, administer and organise all project activities in co-operation with and under the direction of the commercial manager, aiming at the flawless execution of the project. You are also required to liaise with and support the commercial manager to ensure customer and business needs are met at all times in accordance with business goals and objectives. • Establish and develop productive, professional relationships with key stakeholders. • Co-ordinates the involvement of personnel, including support, service, and resources, in order to meet objectives and expectations • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates business needs on an on-going basis • Leads solution development efforts that best address business needs, while co-ordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel • To be fully conversant in all aspects of the internal procedures, financial process • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope • Presentation of finished estimates/CVR to sales/contracts team prior to submittal to the client • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs • Prepare cost budgets and estimates for new customers or projects • Keep existing contracts up to date, including making amendments, providing new cost estimates, and maintaining communication with the stakeholder • Adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing financial reports; focus on maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company • Prepare detailed, well-written proposals for each client, adhering to client guidelines while offering competitive and comprehensive cost estimates, and including supplementary documentation • Work with contracts manager and design team to help with development, innovation, and creativity on client projects • Liaise with other company departments to maintain business development and continuously innovate new profitable outcomes • Manage all cost reports covering; schedule of rates, bills of quants, cost estimates, final accounts, CVR, valuation applications, invoicing. • Sub-contractor management/procurement • Report and escalate to management as needed • Receipt of allocated estimates, final accounts, CVR and tenders • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, estimate logs, cost database, master templates • Integration with the IBS system and management of all costs held within the database • Carry out any other duties as required, to develop and maintain the effectiveness of the Department
