With exam season approaching, it can be really valuable to have someone guiding you and cheering you on. That’s where e in! I have 10+ years’ experience as an English tutor, with much of that being coaching National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher students over their SQA hurdles (getting in there nice and early with a wee metaphor!).

📝 In practice, this can look like: centring our Reading for Understanding, Analysis, and Evaluation practice on topics you actually enjoy; encouraging you to write folio pieces that truly reflect what you want to share with the world; and helping you to build connections between studying English and skills you’ll need throughout your whole life.

🧠 Each and every student is different, so we'll have an ongoing discussion about what you need and want to focus on — that way you can best target your efforts for maximum results. I firmly believe that education is about drawing out a student's capabilities and raising their confidence in those (as opposed to somehow depositing ‘knowledge’ into students’ minds).

💙 I may be a particularly good fit for you as a tutor if the mainstream education system isn’t currently giving you what you need and/or you want a tutor who is patient, understanding, and encouraging. ✨ Whether online or in person, my per person rates are £40 for an hour, £55 for 90 mins, and £75 for 2 hours all payable via bank transfer ahead of our session. If you have a small group of students who would like to receive tuition together, we can arrange a collective rate.
