Elgin 1900s ladies full hunter 10kt gold plated watch
This beautiful antique Elgin pocket watch features a solid 10k
yellow gold double full hunter case, finely decorated with
elegant engine-turned detailing, floral patterns and on the
Inside of the front is a serial number of the case.
On the inside of the rear cover is printed trade doeber mark,
Then canton o U.S.A.
Then on the inside of the dust cover is written
Guaranteed to be made of two plates of 10 karat gold
Over fine hard metal.
Then words and then a shield with anchor inside with eto on the right side
Then written is wear for 20 years and the body serial number.
Printed on the mechanism is algin natl . watch. co U.S.A.
The 7 jewel American made movement winds, sets, but runs for about five minutes
Then stops (I believe that its in need of a clean and service. otherwise this watch
remains in excellent condition for its age.
This watch is dated from 1898 to 1900 from the serial number on the mechanism
