Electric Mandolin Epiphone Mandobird VIII with upgrade Almuse pickup

This is an extremely rare, iconic electric mandolin, produced by Epiphone in the Firebird style, hence Mandobird. Production was discontinued 10 years ago. This is the Mandobird VIII model, hence with 8 strings (GDAE tuning), and WITH UPGRADE PICKUP. The weakness of the model was the pickup was poor on the E-string, so Almuse (now Belmuse) came up with a solution, which I adopted a few years ago. To buy your own Belmuse (as they now are) pickup would cost you £89, plus then fitting it yourself externally (google Belmuse) This one has the Almuse (as it was before they merged with Belvoir guitars) pickup fitted internally, by a luthier, so preserves the iconic Mandobird shape but giving you the full performance.
All in all, this is an extremely rare instrument, with the best quality pickup available and fitted. If you ever think that you might want one, this is probably a unique opportunity to acquire it, hence my price of £550 (with which I shall include a coiled guitar lead, a clip on tuner and a gig bag that fits the instrument and lead).
