I'm James, or Jay for short, an active 35 year old professional male who works for the emergency services, really into music and sport, and loves the outdoors. The house is kept very clean and tidy.
An ideal housemate would be a fellow professional, friendly, considerate and social, but also values a bit of personal space too. A potential occupant would also be clean and tidy.
For those not familiar with the area, Caversham is one of the best area's in Reading. We are right off Caversham High Street, which has a selection of bars and restaurants, a Waitrose, a Costa, a butchers, an artisan bakery, and a whole host of other independent shops, cafe's and food outlets. Despite being this close to the High Street, traffic cannot be heard, even with the windows open.
We are 3-5 minutes drive from Reading Train Station, or a 15 minute walk. Reading Station is one of the main stations in the South East and is also now part of the TFL Elizabeth Line. The fastest trains can have you into Paddington in 23 minutes, Waterloo in 59 minutes, and Victoria in 55 minutes.
The M4 can be accessed (either junction 11 or 12) in a 15-25 minute drive, depending on traffic.
It takes about 15 minutes to walk into town and about 5 minutes walk to the beautiful River Thames. There is green space all around as well.
Costs are inclusive of bills, which includes broadband (good signal throughout).
One of the things that separates this property from others, is that you will only be sharing with one other (as opposed to large house shares). The current occupant does not work from home and these includes overnight shifts, meaning you will have time where you have the house to yourself, providing space and privacy. The house is well equipped, clean and tidy.
