Danbury Mint Lord of the Rings Chess Set

The Official Danbury Mint Lord of the Rings Chess Set. Produced in 1991. 32 hand cast pewter figures which are silver plated, each with a crystal. Chess Board doubles up as a storage box. Limited edition, comes with 28 page guide booklet and numbered certificate of authenticity from Danbury mint, no. 2017.
This chess set has never been used and the pieces have been stored in their box since it’s purchase. The board is immaculate. Unfortunately however some of the figures are showing signs of age as some of the silver plating on some of the pieces is starting to flake off. Please see photos. All solid metal, weighing in at a total of 10 kilos!
