Custom built motorised bike
The bike started life as a tricycle, but has been converted to a normal bike with brand new bmx wheels with brand new tan wall tyres. I wanted to build this bike with the vintage heritage look of the early Indian / Harley motorcycles. Didn't want it to be just another bike with an engine kit on it!
Had a brand new 80cc China Doll Engine kit, with custom exhaust with added silencer... has had minimal running time, so the engine hasn't had many hours of running time.
Has a clutch (but no gears), so you start it by pedalling along with the clutch lever in & then letting it out, to then bump start the bike into life.
This is a great looking one off build. It's not a big bike, but I'm 6ft & can pedal / ride it fine. Aswell as it being small enough for kids to go on too. So it suits the best of both ages. The engine pulls well & normally starts within a couple of goes if it's cold, but straight away when it's warm.. It does have a choke on the carb too, which is set up well. I have used a better NGK BH6S spark plug aswell.
It's a really good riding experience & it's pretty nippy. Turns alot of heads & draws attention to itself. With the 20' wheels fitted, it gives it great acceleration & can pull away with no pedal assist at all. Bike can be used as just a pedal bike too, but is fairly heavy, so not ideal.
The bike is set up, so both chains can be adjusted, so gives it a good balance for a great set up. The frame has only been rough sprayed canned gloss black, so isn't the best, but wanted it to have that old original look & Patina!
Have a litre of the Castrol 2T oil I've used for this bike too, as it gets premixed with the fuel before it goes in the tank..
Great bit of fun for the summer or those car shows, events or ing up.
