About the Role and Person - 35 hours per week - Permanent Your core role and focus is all about ensuring that our customers are safe in their homes in relation to fire and building safety, this will be achieved by the effective contract management of a number of specialist external contractors delivering a wide range of fire safety works - ranging from servicing fire alarms to compartmentation works to a high raise block of flats, all whilst ensuring that works are safely delivered and accurately recorded. Whilst we have key responsibilities and these can be found in the job description, there are certain things we will need from you: - HNC/Degree/diploma level education or equivalent (depth of relevant experience and/or another similar qualification) within the built environment. - Minimum of 3 years contract management experience, delivering fire safety works within the social housing sector. - Working knowledge of CDM 2015, Approved Document B, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, The Fire Safety Regulations 2022 and The Building Safety Act 2022. - Budget setting and management experience for programmes valued in excess of GBP500K. - Experience of delivering continuous service improvement - Demonstrate strong influential skills to support effective change - Experience of reducing fire and other relevant building safety risks - Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use with the willing and availability to travel nationally. The added extras: - You'll be adept at change, having got hands on experience living and breathing new ways of working and knowing how to bring your colleagues along for the experience. - SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safety, NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate and experience of managing fire alarm and other fire safety contracts would also be of benefit. Location This is a role with national coverage and regular travel requirements therefore the successful candidate be located within a commutable distance to any of the locations listed in the advert. We're a keen promoter of agile working and encourage the use of working from home, as long as we meet our customer's needs. We'll provide you with the equipment and software that you'll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider. Should you wish to work occasionally from any of our regional offices, you may do so on a hot desk basis which will need to be arranged via our online booking system Salary The spot salary for this post is GBP40,950 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all of the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary. This post will also receive a car allowance of GBP1,250 per annum.
