Start Date: ASAP
FULL TIME,with frequent building site visits.
We currently have a position available for an experienced site manager working alongside the construction team.
You would be assisting with our current projects that are mostly small to medium scale block of flats, shops, house extensions, loft conversions, basements, and internal reconfigurations of houses.
You are expected to spend most of your time at and between construction sites.
The ideal candidate would be able to:
- Speak and write fluent English
- Be independent and proactive, be able to embrace responsibility and to learn from failures and mistakes
- Nurture trust relationships within the team and be able to seek advice when needed
- Be organised and naturally inclined to share information with the team in a prompt and easy to process way
- Strong Experience of construction
Main Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Project Director and shall be responsible for overseeing of a number of projects on-site, from start through pletion.
- Assist in the liaison with customers, architects, designers, and engineers on all aspects of construction projects life cycle.
- Establish strong working relationships with a wide range of people and use their own initiative and make your own decisions as well.
- Report on progress to the Project Director.
- Oversee structural works.
- Identify materials, workforce, tools etc needed for the project phases and arrange purchases and deliveries accordingly.
- Timely support and advice in the selection of finishes that require the customers’ involvement, so that ordering and delivery don't create disruption and delays in the progress of the projects.
- Deal with contractors and suppliers to solve and unblock any issue related to delays, amendment of orders and other delivery issues
Constantly monitor the expenditure per each activity, material, labour and finishing, so to keep the budget in check
In general, organise and run the project programme and ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in the production of valuation documentation.
- Assist in managing the Health and Safety on project sites.
- Assist in the monitoring and advising of the workforce on all aspects of the build
Cost tracking and pricing of additional works.
